Their joint presentation focussed on how to achieve the best results from business advertising, brochures and leaflets. Justin Allison is a Copywriter & Creative Director, producing a wide variety advertising copy for clients rangng from small businesses to large corporations. John New works as a Graphic Designer and Art Director, designing corporate and brand logos / house styles, stationery and all marketing communication collateral. Peter Westwood is MD of Authentic Colour Print Brokers. He focused on the 'Technical Side of Print' highlighting where the majority of problems occur and how they can be avoided.

David shared his experience on the most cost-effective and memorable ways for a company to market itself, including how he sponsored the Red Arrows! Canotec, which employs 30 staff and has a turnover of nearly £5m, supplies copying, printing and scanning devices from imaging solutions giants like Canon, HP and Ricoh to 700 clients in the private and public sectors.
February Networking can be one of the most cost effective ways of promoting your business, but it can also be a massive waste of time. Stephen shared Five Golden rules for making more effective use of networking opportunities, how to turn a contact into an ambassador for your business, and why winning quality contacts is the first step to winning quality business. Stephen has been an active member of the Club since 2003 and is Director of Custom Internet Limited, who supply Web Design and Computer support services to a wide range of business and domestic clients. This meeting was also be the Club AGM. January
“How to use Innovation to thrive in business” Dave says “ Whether you're a sole practitioner, a small business owner, a sales person, a manager, or a managing director, innovation matters. It drives growth, profitability, fulfillment of purpose, competitive position, quality and value experienced by users. ” Dave's talk explained why. Dave, recently moved from Washington DC, now teaches MBA students at Bournemouth University and has established a local company, Relate2Innovate to provide coaching and practical recommendations on how to achieve growth through innovation. He is also a co-founding member of the MIT Innovation Lab, and an Associate of KPMG International. Previously, Dave held various senior executive and entrepreneurial roles in the US, UK and Canada.
